What I collect: Worldwide stamps 1840-1960

Cut-out embossed or printed stamps from postal stationery. They generally follow the types and colors of the regular postage stamps, but the designs are impressed into stamped envelopes and postal cards.
I only saw some impressed stamps IDs in Scott under U.S Stamped envelopes and wrappers .
How to ID worldwide cut-outs ?
Can i use same catalogue # of regular stamps ?
Thanks

Nice stamps!, but cataloging would be huge task. If I were doing it I would just make up a label for each one based on maybe approximate year and country. But that's just lazy me. I might check goggle image on some to see how they are being described by others. I have a German envelope and postcard catalog. It has 416 pages. (Title: Michel Ganzsachen-Katalog Deutschland 1991)
I would call The top stamp you showed "Bavaria, circa 1895-1907 " Here is one of five pages Michel devotes to that type of postcard.

You have a nice selection of classic international postal stationery there, Jad. I have a few such pieces myself, but the main reason I have never collected them seriously is exactly what you are running up against now: I could not find any easy way to identify and catalogue the items without needing to get specialized catalogues for every country from which I had a cut-square.
I can do the US ones, since those are listed in Scott, and I can do Canada since I have a Unitrade catalogue. But beyond that, I am planning simply to gather the rest of what I have and pass it along to someone who wants to do something with it.
I have enough trouble just keeping up with the stamps, so no need to add postal stationery to my philatelic to-do list!
