Read about the Forum in Linn's Stamp News and decided to become part of it. I've been a stamp and cover enthusiast since I was ten or eleven years old (more than forty years now). Like many collectors I took a break during college and graduate school years and now that our children have been launched (our youngest son graduates high school in two weeks), I'll have more time to devote to a fascinating hobby. In the past year I have become more intentional about the prospect.
Collecting interests: Croatia, Zimbabwe, Thailand, Laos, United States, Canada, autographed FDCs, worldwide covers.
I reside in southside Virginia, a recent (2 years ago) transplant from Minnesota, where I spent most of my life, with the exception of four years of college outstate. We moved across the country to accommodate a job transition for my wife. I'm an ordained minister, so after more than twenty years of her following me to pastoral appointments, I felt it was time to return the favor. The move has been a good one.
I'm a 25+ year member of the American Philatelic Society and a long-time member (since teenage years) of the Cover Collectors Circuit Club.
