Here is a portion of the page in the 2nd link (Die Postmarken von Österreich, Edwin Müller, 1927: I went back a few pages, but could not find out what (ole drawing/new drawing) alludes to, but but my guess is the dies were retouched in some way.
The colors, which were used to print this edition, were already mostly tar colored. The red color in particular was again partly sensitive to water, The violet color is not lightfast. At first the colors were uneven, later is then a more consistent color scheme can be noticed. A temporal one, the order cannot be determined with certainty, but there is the following, the order presented in approximately chronological order
1 Kr : dark gray, black gray, violet gray, Slate-grey, grey black, light gray
2 Kr: brown, reddish brown, dark brown, light brown
3 Kr: blue green, light blue-green, grey-green, yellowish green, dark blue-green
5 Kr: carmine, lively carmine, dark carmine, bright red. carmine pink, dull red, pink
10 Kr: dark blue, cobalt blue, dull blue, dark greenish blue, light blue, ultramarine
12 Kr: brownish carmine, dull purple carmine, brownish pink
15 Kr: violet brown, red-violet, violet
20 Kr: (old drawing): olive green, dark olive green. (new drawing): dark olive green, grey-green, light olive green
24 Kr: (old drawing): steel blue, grey-blue, dark steel blue (new drawing): light gray blue, grey-blue
30 Kr: (old drawing): dark brown, brown, reddish brown, light brown, grey-brown (new drawing): light brown, brown
50 Kr: (old drawing): bluish purple, violet, red-violet (new drawing): reddish purple, violet . 1 Guilden: dark blue, black-blue, vibrant dark blue, grey-purple, dark gray purple, pale gray, purple. purple gray . 2 Guilden: dark carmine, dull carmine, grey-green, light grey-green,dull green
so th eplot thickens!

Well, despite this new information (and Müller seems to be held in high esteem for his work on Austria), I do find it odd that Michel specialized doesn't make 1) any mention of color virietie., and 2) no mention of the inks instability. Müller (Mueller seems the 'American spelling) died in 1962 in New York. This is 10 years after his specialized catalogue, and in it there is no mention of color varieties, inks, nor the still mysterious "old drawing/new drawing" of the 20 - 50 Kr
and for the time being I will remain insulated in my 1995 Michel 'world". I would be worfully short on stamps to even begin to try to find all these shades. As for the perforations, I think I have more holes, than holes filled..... I am almost through all the 1890 issues I have.
then back to France, though it does look like I will not finish France by end of year.....

Just finished making pages for the perf varieties of 1891 Michel # 63 - 66. There is one stamp (a # 66) with perforation 12-1/2 x 12-1/2 x 12-1/2 x 10-1/2. I am not expecting to find one, but it would certainly be fun!
A drizzly day in Sacramento California, and cold with some wind. Definitely indoor weather!
Keep on stamping!

Michel Österreich Spezial seems to be the most detailed source. I may have look for a newer copy* (mine is 1995) and hope I don't have to revamp all the pages made so far!
2010 is on it's way, plus I found another France catalogue of flaws, variants and "oddities' (I'm sure I needed this!)_
