Notice that Number 7 only appears twice on the Christmas 1971. Commercially used in period on cover is a little hard to find.

It is possibile that this issue has a variety on the tickness of the paper. It May look likes cardboard.. ? I hope to be in the correct thread..?!

Hi rex
There were no other thickness for the 6c orange. Seeing that your stamp is used, the cardboard feeling of the paper could be the result of some of the envelope remaining on the stamp, or that the stamp went a little stiff when dried after removal.

I noticed that as well, I recall reading that it was a headache for Australia Post to print a complexed arrangement of colours to form a full sheet. What I have is a half-sheet.
