OK, for a long time I been reading up on information about plating the 1¢ Franklin. This post will be a discussion and information resource for both plating and identification.

Check out the Wagshal auction catalogs on the Siegel website. They are wonderful references and they are free. The Neinken and Ashbrook books are great too, but somewhat costly.

Excellent information, thanks very much for providing the link. I'm not much of a dedicated collector of US classics, but it's still nice to see info when it's available. I have the Brookman volumes already, those are the only ones on the list that I have in my own library. Ryan
