Hi Guys! Anyone know of a France postmark catalog? I've checked the internet and can't locate one.

I have come across quite a few in searches for blog material. French is however a requirement (or Google translate).
If you do a search for France Marques Postales France Obliteration sur timbres
or better yet the French designation for postmark collection - France Marcophilie
These are some sites (not catalogs) in my archive that feature French postmarks
I have seen catalogs but this is a big subject and generally they are regional catalogs
If you need some direction let me know

zipper , as you have seen, Nelson is the one who knows the most about hard-to-locate references, so there is not much I can add to that. What I can say is that I am in touch with 2-3 stamp dealers here in France, both here in Provence and in Paris, and if you are able to identify a reference that you want but cannot find, please let me know, and I will make enquiries on your behalf. That's about the best I can offer. Best Regards, Chris

Just ordered it from eBay. $15.34 total, from GB. Thanks again, Nelson. I owe you, BIG TIME.

@falshung - I am not familiar with Dallay, but you certainly made me very curious to check it out Is Dallay more detailed than Maury? I have a Maury 2016 and had the impression the Maury is based on former Dallay, but I might very well be mistaken. (?)

zipper - Thanks for starting this thread. I am very fascinated by classical French postmarks as well. Simply love the iconic Ceres and Napoleon with those stylish PC/GC numeral cancels. I have only collected about 700 different numbers so far - so still more than 9000 different missing. Does anyone know a resource/reference where one can find all the different PC/GC listed with rarity factor for each different PO? Until now the best I've found is THIS DATABASE however, it only show one PO at a time, so it's not very useful for me as I would like the complete lists with all roughly 10,000 different postmarks in one list. I would be very thrilled if someone could help

I am not sure of the history up to 2008? you have Dallay 2009 a 2 volume edition came out called Maury Ceres & Dallay After you have just Maury
I am not sure how much got transferred but some French collectors in forums say Dallay is better I think maybe the 2009 2 volume edition might be the best of both worlds
An unused set came up on France eBay recently for about $12 and no one bid on it That might be the one to get as it will probably be relisted
The freight is often the issue but the one above to US or Canada was only about $10
If I was in the market for a France Cat. I would go for it but I have enough France catalogs, French forums I frequent and people I can contact for info.

Sorry that the screen shots aren't aligned. A bit too much pain medication...
