It seems like most have PC's with Excel here, but are there any Apple users here? I'm re-vamping my Luxembourg spreadsheet in Apple's Numbers spreadsheet app. When I select a range of entries to count, I end up with a blue triangle as shown below... I searched in Preferences & online to see how to hide these, but have so far come up empty. Does anyone know? Perhaps I'll just have to put up with them. Oh well, at least I found out how to do that & didn't have to split one date field up into 3 text for the date!

Though I respect people using a spreadsheet (in the Stamping world), I have my own on my private, paid, Stamp Program, when I want to see my inventory(ies).
I am a PC user, always will and will stay away from another type of computer since learning gets more cumbersome as you grow older ...hahahahah !! My Pc runs on Windows 7......and I stay away from "10" ...
René cheers bpete !

I am a geek, what can I say, renden! I just checked on my iPad, and what do you know? No little blue triangle! I wish the iMac version of Numbers would be as accommodating as the iPad/iPhone versions are!

I don't use MS Excel anymore - Softmaker Office
but I remember that these triangles (come in different colors and locations) were some type of error checking warning. On the PC version in Options there was an "error checking" and you could uncheck the "Enable background error". This may be in Mac?

It is just an explanatory note. It states, "The formula compares a number to a date." You'd think Apple would give you an option to hide them, because as you note, MS Excel does! I was thinking there was a way to do that, but it doesn't look like it, unless I use the iPad/iPhone versions. Or hey - it might be a "hidden" preference, which were prevalent in a number of apps of yore!

After visiting the Apple support forum, problem solved.
Yay, no more blue triangles!
