I've only been a member for five minutes, so I won't promote my sales site (yet! ) I do have another site, dedicated to hi-resolution images of flaws on Australian stamps. Please check it out here

What I collect: If I have a catalogue for it, I collect it. And I have many, many catalogues ....

Excellent! Once upon a time in an auction box of assorted literature I received a copy of McCleary's book on varieties, 4th edition loose leaf (ex-libris Hawkesbury Valley Philatelic Society, according to the handstamp) and it turned out that the "loose leaf" part was true in the sense that many of the pages were so loose as to no longer be inside the binder at all. About 20 pages are missing from the commemoratives volume. Drat & blast!! I looked for a while for a complete copy to replace it but never had any luck ....

Great site, and a good resource for collectors. But I do have one suggestion for future additions: make a blow up of the actual flaw so people can see what to look for.

I considered this, but I think the ACSC descriptions are clear on the nature of the variety. Also, that would mean a compromise on the quality of the scans, as two images are needed for each variety, thereby reducing storage capacity and increasing load times. I have considered adding arrows to the scans, but I'm happy for the images to be saved by anyone, so having arrows would detract from that. Also, there's no suitable automatic app for enlarging in Wix sites, but I'm still hunting!

The images that I have posted on my site are actually one image with several images in it. I used a photo editing program to make this work. I started the page because it is hard to actually see the flaw inside the stamp without magnification. Also, sometimes you don't know what to look for. I spent years looking for the Ascension Davit Flaw in the wrong part of the stamp because the catalog did not show the location of the flaw and I couldn't find the davit. See the example below if you are still looking for it.

Vive le difference! My site is intended to be used in conjunction with the Australian Commonwealth Specialists Catalogue, which is extremely detailed. The davit flaw you show is quite clearly illustrated in SG, whereas the images in the ACSC leave a LOT to be desired
