This aerogram has me puzzled....every marking seems to be strange, unusual or undecipherable. I can't even remember where or when I got the @#$%! thing, but all those enigmas surely attracted me to it in the first place!!! Any help with the year of issue, cancellation date, etc. Also is it possibly censored? Too late for WWII but maybe another period of mail censorship I wasn't aware of. Thanks in advance, ---Jim

Issued in 1957, and not censored. With an insufficient address (hence the red lines), it ended up at the Dead Letter Office, which is the large red cancel

I suspected it might be a "dead letter" but the circular red handstamp threw me off; I've never seen it before. So that's how you handle such covers there, eh?

Glad you were given a quick answer. You really have to know your cancellations and markings to understand what they all mean.

Unless theres a return address on the back, the DLO handstamp was applied in the US
