How Do I Receive or Stop Forum Notifications?

The settings regarding notifications can be adjusted while editing your profile.

Access your profile by either clicking on your forum user ID or selecting it from the Navigation bar that appears at the top of the screen.

Once in your profile, click on the "edit profile" button and then select the "notifications" tab.

Most members will see the following notification types and have the ability to turn forum and email notifications on or off for each:

     New Thread - New threads are created
     New Post - New posts are created
     Like - Someone likes your post
     Quote - Someone quotes your post
     Tag - Someone tags you in a post
     Follow - Someone follows you
     Friend - You become friends with someone
     Group Request - Someone requests to join a group you lead
     Group Join - Someone joins a group you lead
     Group Added - Someone adds you to their group
     Badge - You are involved in badge-related activities (badges aren't used on TSF)
     Bookmark - A thread you have bookmarked is updated
     Participated - A thread you have participated in is updated
     Personal Message - You receive a personal message
     Staff Warning - You are warned by the staff
     Mass Email - Staff send an email to all forum members

By checking the applicable "Forum" box, you will receive notifications of those occurrences when you are signed in to the forum.

You have several options regarding the receipt of email notifications that may be set using the associated pull-down menus.

The notification settings you select apply across the entire forum unless you have opted to override your notification settings for specific boards.
