These are nice stamps, Xavier, thanks for starting the thread with this post. I thought that I had seen these around here somewhere before, and there is an old post of these stamps on the Greenland: Stamps thread: thestampforum.boards.net/post/34842/threadBut personally, I think that since these are also local posts, it makes good sense to show these stamps in this sub-board, too, so don't let that discourage you!

They are quoted in my AFA catalog (which is edited in Denmark so they would know). I wouldn't have gotten them otherwise. As some people say, and I agree, if it's not in the catalog, I don't go there!

A reprint from (I believe) 1979, produced by the Danish Red Cross. Each sheet is numbered on the reverse. These were printed using the original 'Cliche (Plate) of which there were 8 different. So it's possible to acquire 8 different sheets and all are noted on the reverse.

They did see local use between 1935-39 but you will rarely see a cover that was posted. The guy on the 10 ore label was the brainchild behind the issue. Mr Rasmussen. I think they are just gorgeous ! . I really want to find a cover though.

You must study the sheets hard and good and do a write-up for a future newsletter with your findings, pointing out all the minute differences ! Are you up for it ? Yeah !!!!!
