Minerals on stamps is one of my side collecting interests. When he visited me, Beryllium Guy was asking about stamps about his favourite element. I told him then that I was pretty sure I had seen one featuring the beryl mineral, at least, and I finally found it today: a se-tenant pair from the TAAF. YT#726-27, from 2015.

Xavier, what can I say? Thanks for a great post, and for making good on your promise. You are quite right: beryllium is indeed my favorite element!

(mineral) is $$$$$$$$$$$ René p.s. this function @ works so and so !! Thanks for your comments, René ! You are right that beryllium-containing minerals can be expensive, but truthfully, that is only in gem stone quality. Industrial quality is a different matter. On the "tagging" function, it is great that you are trying to use it, as it is a very helpful function. There is a little trick, though, to always get a good result. Not all site names are exactly the same as the ones needed with the "@" symbol to make the tag. For example, my site name is Beryllium Guy with a space in between the words and capital letters, but to tag me, you need "@" and "berylliumguy" all together with no spaces, and that will work. If you want to see for any member if the site name as displayed is the same as what you need to make the tag, simply hover your cursor over the site name, and it will show you the underlying "@" name. Does that help? Some members have tag names that are completely different from their site names, so it is always good to check. You will learn them soon enough, as often as you post. Anyway, thanks for making the effort, René -- it is much appreciated! -Chris

There is a tag the person function in the menu bar when editing a post. Just click the "Reply" button in the upper left off the message area & you'll see it.

Thanks for that additional tip, Peter ( brightonpete). I never realized that was there. Just to be clear, it is the one which states "Insert User Link" when you hover over it. It works! Anyway, thanks!

For 2019, the mineral shown for the yearly TAAF issue is sapphirine: Thanks again for another nice post, Xavier! Of course, I cannot resist pointing out that sapphire always contains beryllium, which prompted me to check on sapphirine using an online search. According to what I read, it seems that sapphirine generally contains beryllium, too! So on behalf of all beryllium aficionados out there, thank you!
