That looks like an awesome project. I can picture a whole bunch of built in bookcases to hold the albums, another one to hold the reference materials, and a very large stamping table in front of that window. Oh my,,time to come back to reality. That isn't my room

The painting has started today. It should be finished this week except for carpet. Final inspection could be delayed due to holidays. Carpet is not needed for final inspection.

After my step-son moved out I moved my stamping stuff/hobby stuff out the living room and dining room into his room. My US collection and some reference books. Bottom shelf holds my WW Harris Albums. My WW collection that I have printed albums for. The white tubs contain all the WW stamps that need to be put in albums (they are sorted by country) Bookcase holds more reference materials. The red tubs in the bookcase house all the US stamps that need to go into the new albums. The red tubs on the corner case are all my WW and US duplicates.

Well if I got rid of the music room and it's contents I guess I could move out of the closet stamp room. That ain't happening though. You guys have great spaces my own is filled not only with the stamp stuff but all the other stuff that has no where else to hide.Under the table are four large boxes of Lincoln logs that I can't seem to part with, and two shelves are the household tools I need handy.

Wow - that's an awesome room! (When can I move in??)
If we can get one more picture of that large bookcase to the left of your desk, it would be awesome - with a quick description of what all that is!! (I need that info to know where I will be putting all my stuff!)

I think you might as well put a cat bed on top of your white bookshelf - that where the cat will be within 15 minutes anyway, nice and high and looking down on her domain! ha ha Ryan

(I need that info to know where I will be putting all my stuff!) I intentionally did not show closeups on what is in the book cases. I have US stamps in Mystic binders, sheets and souvenir pages in the red binders, and worldwide in Vario G. My British Empire collection does not really start until KGV so most stamps are common. I prefer quantity (more stamps) so not focusing on hinging or high value stamps.

After hours of organizing stamps on the table, my cat just came from nowhere, jumped on the table, messed everything, throwing stamps in the air. Then just run away. And I'm not kidding you, she had an "I did it on purpose" smirk written all over her face.

I rarely leave stamps out when not working on them unless I plan to return soon. This limits the exposure. I do not usually sort mixtures as a rule so no piles of stamps. I try to keep drinks in a safe spot so they are not knocked over.

A stamp room? You've got to be kidding lol. A bedside locker and a cupboard, both shared with other stuff, is more like it here. We just don't have the space here for a dedicated stamp room. Now a whole chest of drawers would do nicely. I've got one of those for my knitting paraphernalia. I just don't know where I'd put another one.
Those stamp rooms do look great.

Since up in this thread, I was not too keen in sharing pics of "stamp rooms" I have to admit I like to see the beautiful "rooms" some of our members shared with us. My stamp room has a lot of room, is shared with my musical instruments (not stamps), my wife's partition (since we live in a Condo) but the space I have is enough to do what I like to do....."stamps" and "communication" with friends - My CANON printer does not match the nice "scans" of some of our members, but I do not really care - a tool is a tool - no competition with Nelson or Stan (btw stainlessb Stan, you have recently presented some A1+ scans (am jealous) !! No pics for today, just thoughts...... René

The new work table is finished. It features shelving below for catalog and other storage plus a section for the printers. It is made out of finished 3/4-in plywood then painted white.

Today I was able to add a long-needed item to my stamp room, a big wide desk with a lot of room to spread out stamps. It just came in, I haven't installed anything yet. Computer and Internet box had to move because of re-confinement here in France (otherwise, my wife cannot do Zoom Yoga classes in the garage she had reconverted as a gym room, and we all know THAT is more important):
