Rod, Before you do purchase the 30 inch screen, make sure of the resolution that your graphics card can drive out of each port. The new screen would still work fine in a lower resolution but double check. Ram Thanks Guys, thanks for the heads up. How does one check what res the graphics card can drive? (be warned, I am not that techy) The 30" screens are in Govt auctions, no guarantees, and I hesitated at the fall of the hammer. $200 is a lot to spend, I bought a couple of 22 inch for $40 each. Now I have a better reason, I'll keep an eye out for the larger, and cross the fingers.

Glad that was a compliment I saw it when it came out, as I did 2001 A Space Odyssey. I must be the only one on the planet who did not like either one. I found Spinal tap to be quite offensive and stupid. 2001 rates right up there with Barry Lyndon as being one of the most boring movies ever. I've tried watching it 3 times and it always puts me to sleep.

She (& I) meant no offense at all.
Really? that's surprising. I'm probably just easily entertained. Do you like Monty python then? I will however agree on 2001 A Space Odyssey. That sucked.

Sure I love Monty Python. In fact my favorite director is Terry Gilliam. Hard to pick a most favorite movie among several top favorites from various directors but Gilliams' "Brazil" is always the first one I think of putting in that place. Other favorites include: Seven Beauties, Swept away (both by Lena Wurtmuller), Amadeus, Good Will Hunting, Little Big Man, The Green Mile, Fight Club, 12 Monkeys, Satyricon, One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest, Gangs of New York, Phildelphia Story, Pulp Ficiton, Lord of the Rings (all), Once upon a Time in the West, Silverado, Usual Suspects, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Life is Beautiful, The Pianist, Gladiator, Braveheart, Clockwork Orange, Das Boot, Requiem for a Dream, The Sting, Snatch, Downfall, Nosferatu (Herzogs), The Big Lebowski, The Deer Hunter, No Country for Old Men, Big Fish, Cold Mountain, O Brother Where Art Thou, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Zardoz

Weird taste most would think. I thought about putting Life of Brian on the list but it fell just a little short. I liked it much better than Holy Grail. Brian had some good depth to it. Grail on the otherhand just seemed slapstick to me and would not make the short list for the same reason the Marx Brothers' Night at the Opera wouldn't.

I like the Marx brothers! Ever hear of Amos & Andy? It was an old radio program that my great Grandmother used to tell me of and until the internet I never knew of exactly what she spoke? I like the old radio programs. You can still listen to them at the Archive.org.
