First let me thanks all our members past, present and future. It would be a lonely place without all of you to share time, thoughts and stamps with.
It all began on another forum in talking back and forth with member antoniusra(at this time you should click on his name in the member list and visit his online stamp collection if you have never done that) He mentioned that a new forum was operating and it would be a good fit for me as many Canadians were involved.I was not in on the first wave but shortly after.I was warmly welcomed and had found my new home.
At that time the forum was a couple weeks old and by looking at the members list you will see those with a join date in mid 2013 were indeed who were the regulars here. Our founder Jack(irishjack) had gathered a great bunch and we shared stamps ,knowledge and daily life and laughs. It wasn't long before we did a live auction and keeping with Jack's give aways,Frog donated a couple lots to support the forum.
Daily us old guys and girls shared our finds and showed our stamps. Many happy times and some sad things happened but always we supported one another.More than a few very nice members helped me with computer skills I obviously was lacking.I've watched others come and go here always glad when they came and wondering why they left. One day I myself was at my wits end and was also ready to throw in the towel over some stupid remark. Our moderator LB1 took the time to point out it was just an online forum and some can feel like bullies with a keyboard, shake off the water and move on.Good Advice.
I guess the hardest part for me is the actual lost of our members.May they rest in peace and know they are missed.
The forum is set up to be a resource tool for those that follow PLEASE think of it that way.Sharing your knowledge here will benefit those that follow. We can do our part to share the hobby by posting here.

Frog, first of all, congratulations on your 3,000th post! That is quite a milestone, and thanks for saving it to say something special. Although I was not a member in 2013 during those early days of TSF, I have a great respect for history, so I have read a lot of those old posts and threads. There is some really great stuff there, and it was both fun and educational for me to read, even if in retrospect. Anyway, I just want to say thank you for all you have contributed to TSF over the years. It means a lot to so many of us, and I know from the times when you are busy with other things, that the ol' place just isn't quite the same without you. I know how much your contributions have meant to me. With Very Best Wishes Always, Your Friend, Chris

Hey Frog, thanks for the great post. I looked back to when I joined and was surprised to see that it was way back in February 2014. And I've pretty much visited the forum daily since then. When I first joined the forum I knew literally nothing about philately and was a bit intimidated by the depth of knowledge among the members. But everyone took my beginner questions in good humor, and I have gone from knowing nothing about philately to knowing... a little.
I also miss some of the personalities from when I first joined, both those who have passed on, and those who no longer participate. But I am grateful for the many newer folks who have joined in the past couple of years and stuck around to become valuable members.
So here's to you, Frog, and to everyone else who makes checking the forum after work one of the highlights of my day!

congratulations on your 3000th post.!! When I joined the forum a few months ago, I didn't have much philatelic knowledge. But with the help of all the wonderful people here, I am slowly starting to learn a lot more. And the best part I like about tsf is the generosity of the members thru their giveaways. I have been the winner of some of the recent giveaways and I feel really nice that there is someone always helping you. (That reminds me firstfrog2013 I haven't gone through the whole packet of Bolivia stamps as yet, but will soon do it and post some pictures)

Froggie--big warm congratulations on your milestone! May you hit 10,000 and 20,000 but, hey, no pressure as this, after all, IS the best philatelic forum in the world!
Is it the biggest? No...(not yet). Is it the only one? Obviously not. But, like a favorite pair of shoes or sweater, it's the most comfortable, thanks to you and all the moderators and contributors. And a special thanks to Jerry B. who reminded me, several MONTHS after I joined in 2013 that this board could not be beat for genuine cameraderie and generosity. I totally concur!
