Hello all from Rockholds, Kentucky. I started collecting in 1974, at the age of 9, and collected until I went away to college. By that time, other things (girls, cars, etc.) had taken precedence. I returned to collecting about ten years ago for about a year, but just didn’t have the time to devote to it and shelved the collection again. I retired last year and finally have the time needed to devote to philately.
My main areas of specialization are: 1) US including Canal Zone and Hawaii until 2000 2) Rhodesia 1890-1980 3) British Virgin Islands until present 4) British Solomon Islands until 1978 5) French Polynesia until 2000 6) Iceland until 2000
Although the majority of my time and resources are spent on the above areas, I also have an active interest in: 1) Canada and provinces until 2000 2) South Africa and predecessor states until 1994 3) Australia and states until 2000 4) Portuguese African colonies until independence 5) The rest of Scandinavia until 2000 6) Papua New Guinea until 1975 7) German Third Reich, inflation issues, and colonies 8) South West Africa until 1990 9) Stamp on stamp topicals 10) Coral reef topicals 11) Captain James Cook topicals
I will also collect individual worldwide stamps and sets if they strike my fancy. I hope that I can impart some of the knowledge that I have gained through the years as well as gain new knowledge about this wonderful hobby of ours.
