A TAAF stamp featuring a cat. Of course, cats are not native to the Southern Indian Ocean, and those found there are the descendants of the first few introduced by sailors to rid the island of another scourge they had brought in their hulls, i.e. rats! With the usual dire consequences on the local bird populations, both from the rats pillaging the nests and the cats finding the chicks an easier and tastier catch than the rats.  |

Afghanistan S/S - Mentioned is Scott Cat but no number -This S/S and its 6 stamps (not scanned) are not authorized by the Afghan Ministry of Communications (ref: Scott)
