Hello everyone;
I collect the US to 2000, US #720 & 721, WW 1840 - 1930, Machins, Canada Centennials, DDR 5 year workers, Brazil Allegories, Mexico Architecture and Archaeology 1950 -75, and several other smaller philatelic interests. I have been a collector for most of my life starting as a kid and going through several phases of collecting. In the 1970's I belonged to 3 different stamp clubs simultaneously in Atlanta, have built and sold 2 nice collections after deciding to quit stamps, but always come back. My last start was in 1999.
Retired, staying busy, and don't know how I found the time to keep a job all those years, so much to do now!
I am now a minimalist collector, and focus on the common issues, plate varieties, and cancels, I'm not a completist and short sets or blank album spots don't bother me anymore like they once did. I collect mostly used stamps, prefer to use hinges to mount them, and make a lot of my own album pages. I also would rather to trade as opposed to purchasing stamps.
Glad to have found this forum and am looking forward to getting to know as many other stamp collectors as I can, sharing, learning, and enjoying our wonderful hobby together.
Thanks for stopping by !!

Welcome! I s'pose "DDR 5 year workers" does not refer to child labor...😉...but to the cincinnal national workplan, from the Party.

OK, loupy, thanks for a great intro post, and welcome to TSF! Well, of all the WW collectors around here, and there are a few, you are the first that has the same dates as I do: 1840-1930. So, it's good to share that same interest in common. I am also impressed by some of your other very specific interests, and I look forward to seeing some posts of your material! Enjoy your time with us! Best Regards, Chris (aka Beryllium Guy)
