Thank you for approving my membership in TSF. I have heard a lot about the forum already from my friend Philatarium , who encouraged me to join. I see that I already know several members from other forums. I am looking forward to participating as I have already scoped out several threads that interest me. I collect the world but I have more focused collections of the following: Mexico Korea (South and North but mainly South) US Canada France Germany Soviet Union/Russia Machins Used PNC Singles Brazil Turkey Ceylon Netherlands Indies I use Steiner pages and like to jump around and print pages for whatever interests me at the moment. Lately I have been working on Nigeria, Norway and the Netherlands...a month ago I was working on Malaysia, and before that Greece... Anyway, I think you get the general idea. I look forward to getting to know all of you. darkormex (Darrin)

Welcome to TSF, Darrin! Thanks for a nice intro post. Yes, I jump around, too, often influenced by what others are doing on the Forum, in fact. Dave ( Philatarium) is the first TSF member I met in person on one of my trips back to Southern California. He's a great guy, so glad that he could suggest that you join us, too. Look forward to see some of your posts! Best regards, Chris (aka Beryllium Guy)

Hi Darrin, and welcome to our group!
Lots of us have wide collecting interests, and some of us change them more than others. Maybe evolving is a better description; I never stopped collecting Great Britain Machins (Queen Elizabeth profile definitives), for instance, but I don't have the time nor desire at this time to re-organize my pages and update them according to my newer catalogue's listings. That day will come; in the meantime there are way too many unfinished projects, such as remounting my Russian stamps--they are on notebook paper from my elementary school days over forty-five years ago!
We'd love to see or hear more about your interests and stamp experiences!

Jim, I haven't stopped collecting them also but I haven't visited or updated my collection in quite a while. I started my Machin collecting with a Scott Specialty binder for GB and the Scott Machin pages. I stopped buying page supplements from Scott once I went the Steiner route and, when I do eventually revisit my Machin collection, it will be updated with Steiner pages on my paper of choice and using a 3-ring binder. Meanwhile I have a binder full of manila stock pages stuffed with Machins catalogued by Scott number.

Welcome Darrin - good to see you here! Thanks Michael. This might be a good place to post some of my now mounted Turkey collection that you helped me with. I can't thank you enough. I have already looked at the Turkey subboard here and it looks like there is a lot to learn.
