I came across this, Sc# 299 but it has a control number on the back which Scott does not list- any ideas?

Control numbers are fairly common on Spain & Colonies stamps between 1900 & 1955. They are security measures against theft of stamps from a post office.

so no need to be concerned it's not called out in Scott? (there are two serialized denominations mentioned after the series), now I'll start lookin at the back of all the stamps of Spain and it's colonies.
I'll just catalogue it as Sc# 299 and move on!
