Thank you for allowing me to register on this forum. I began collecting stamps as an adult 55 years ago. Presently, I collect WW used stamps, mostly definitive series, prior to 1970 and U.S. covers. I also like and collect cancels and a few cinderellas. My only topical collection is aircraft on stamps. I live in Oklahoma.

Welcome to TSF stamphinger ! Good to have you with us. You mentioned that you live in Oklahoma. May I ask whereabouts? During my military service days (long ago), I spent several months at Fort Sill and lived in the Lawton, OK area. I enjoyed my time there very much. See you around the boards! -Chris (aka Beryllium Guy )

Thanks for the welcome! I live in Norman. Ft. Sill and Lawton are enjoying considerable growth these days. With a population of 96,000 +, it is Oklahoma's fifth largest city. Lawton used to host a fall stamp show, but I haven't attended for several years. For those who don't know the area, Ft. Sill is one of the oldest continuously active military posts in the country. It had its beginnings as a cavalry post, but now it is the home of the U.S. Army's artillery school. The U.S. Marine Corps also does its artillery training there. Good museums on post and in Lawton (Museum of the Great Plains) too.

Thanks for the welcome! I recognize your name from another forum and greatly admire your knowledge and extensive collection of cinderellas. My cinderella collection is quite modest, small actually. My interests in this area are issues of philatelic societies and those relating to Oklahoma and my home state of Iowa. So far, I haven't tried posting images here, but I hope to do some experimenting soon.

Hi stamphinger, and welcome to the forum. I have only been in Oklahoma once, visiting colleagues in Oklahoma City. I had the bad judgement to visit during a heat wave. I tell you what, I've been in some hot environments, but that was about the hottest.
