Thanks for the welcome and explanations. My collecting focuses on pre-philately and cancelations for a couple towns in Sweden and Switzerland. That's part sentimentality and part disciplinary; keeps the budget tight. My general interests are more focused on stamp design. But a pretty cancel always attracts my attention. I began collecting in 2004, and live in Norfolk, Virginia.

I'm glad that you found us and I'd be interested in finding out how you learned about our Forum. I've adjusted your membership status so that you can now post elsewhere -- please let me know if you have questions or encounter problems. A quick review of the Frequently Asked Questions About Using the Forum board should answer many of the more basic questions.

Steve,
It hasn't been more than eighteen hours and I already forget how I found the Forum. Searching something, no doubt. But what? With stamp clubs evaporating, this is a fine alternative. And the attraction of drawing on much broader expertise is very appealing. The magazine looks especially impressive.
Thanks for everything you do to keep it moving, Aaron/kasvik

Hi Aaron (@kasvik), and welcome to the forum. As Stan ( stainlessb) said, there are a good few forum members that also love a nice cancel. I'm definitely one of them.
