Due to the method of folding the sheets before punching the perfins, they can be found sideways, upside down and back to front.

Due to the method of folding the sheets before punching the perfins, they can be found sideways, upside down and back to front. AH, I wasn't sure how it was done, and I think this is the first example I have physically come across. Cheers!

Yes the perf is would be done in house by a junior clerk with a single hand operated lever punch . Saving time , a block of 4 would be folded and folded again into a mini pile or a sheet could be concertinaed so several could all be punched in one go. as Sherro says you get the Perfins in all directions .
