so, I know I said I was taking a break from Vickie and moving to Belgium, but a lot of stamps I bought at auction arrived, and in and amongst was this poor creature... horrible shape, but this caught my eye and SG mentions 4 color shades .... could this be mauve ? It is definitely much different than the typical "lilacs"

it occurred to me that not everyone is familiar with this stamp so, here's a range of the shades I typicall see (and I hav 90 -100 of these, Die 2 is pretty common) on the right is the above stamp for easier comparison. SG also calls out a "purple" but I'm not sure this is "purple" enough

The print on your mauve/ purple is just not as crisp as it should be. I hate to be a spoiler but I think it is overwashed and some colour has leached out and tended to run blurring the print and changing the colour.
Your first two images being mint are likely to be true colours . I’d say they could be lilac and mauve?

that had occured to me, or the stamp was originally affixed to red paper envelope, but if bleached/washed out I'd somewghat expect it to be faded and less ...intensity... it's pretty much a 2nd/cull no matter how I try to dress it up!
