Hi, I'm Phil.
I live in the UK in the county of Norfolk. Small town called Thetford.
I collected stamps as a youngster (as many of us did) but lost interest in my early teens.
I recently retired after many years of working in various fields and decided to take up the hobby again and my how things have changed. The resources now available to us is incredible and makes the hobby more interesting than it ever was when I was a nipper
Hope I can get involved as much as possible here and become a productive member of the forum.
Many thanks for having me.
Regards Phil

philh Greetings and welcome from California to TSF, to best forum around!
Yes, things have changed, and a good thing too! because so has my eyesight (and not for the better!) High definition scanners make identifications much easier- and there are many resources available- not to mention the many folks here far more knowledgeable than I (so much to learn/relearn/remember!)
Post often and we like photos!
Cheers
Stan

Forgot to ask PHIL , what are your collecting interests? Hi Vikingeck,
Having only been collecting again for 3-4 months anything goes.
I am hoping to build a collection of GB mint sets but it's early days at the moment. The one thing I do have though is plenty of time so I spend a lot of time researching, finding new sources and I contribute to a site called Colnect which has a large catalog and allows you to catalog your own collection. I use a piece of s/w called StampMate as a local catalog as well.
