The intent of this poll is to try to determine which sources provide TSF with new members.
Regardless of how long you have been a member, please indicate how you found us.
If you selected "other" in the poll, please explain how you learned about the Forum in a post on this thread.

I used a search engine, but I truly believe that the superior being in the Universe, guided me to this forum. I have learned so much, about stuff I never wanted to know about, until I met all of you. You have all made me a better person and a much better collector.

I also used a search for some specific info, and found it on TSF, in a post made by Jerry B. He offered to send a file with more detailed info in response to a PM request, so I joined TSF so that I could send him a PM, and I ended up sticking around....

Hi
Was on another Forum and, I believe it was Rodney, that told me about this site. I have, essentially, been here since Jack set it up.

I found this through a search.
I am on Stamp Community, but it must be a city community where neighbours don't talk very much. I just didn't click with it. So I am rarely ever there. Less so now that I have been a member on this site.

I know I found site after surfing for general stamp collecting info. I liked the look and lay out. I followed for about a week. Read some the the threads that were of interest to me. Suited my need and I joined. Best choice ever.

Saw a post by Londonbus1 on a stamp collectors group on facebook, where he invited people to write an article for the TSF newsletter and participate in a prize winning competition. And also to join the forum. So I did all of these, including getting a second (also prize granted) place. I liked the vibe of the forum, so became a member. Enjoying ever since. Kostia

After waking up one morning and finding theGOMC website shut down without warning or explanation I decided to find somewhere else to show off how little I know.

Philatarium is my reason for being here which I stated early on. I am a member of 2 forums currently, including this one, and I like them both. I feel as if I am relatively late to the whole online forum thing. This is only the third forum I have ever joined that is related to stamps. Learning to navigate a forum like this was a little bit of a learning curve early on but the hardest part was learning to interact with other people online when you can't see the emotions behind the words. I am pretty sure I have ticked some people off along the way (I have been a moderator on another forum) and I have had my feathers ruffled as well. In the end, good communication and simply being polite goes a long way.

I am a member of a handful of forums, some philatelic, some other hobbies. Also an administrator for one of them. I've noticed people tend to drop in when they are researching a particular topic. If they like the environment they stay. This forum seems quite welcoming!

I was researching one topic or another, probably for info on what to purchase, and this site popped up. Stamp forums have certainly come a long way from when I hosted Yahoo groups (way, way back in the day).
