I'm working with these nice little color marbles. Facit (Swedish catalog) state that there are two dies of F 275 15øre brown. (Michel 257, Scott 302, Yvert et Tellier 261, Stanley Gibbons 236, AFA 266) But the illustration in the catalog don't tell what the difference is. See image below.
What we know is that die II is the only with perf all around. I think I see some difference on the foot of 1 (in 15), it is vider on die I than in Die two.
DieII So I have looked for stamps with wider base on the 1 in 15. If we put these two closer together we can better see the difference. DieI on left, DieII on right. As you can see the base of the foot on 1 is wider on the DieI (left image) than on DieII.
Am I on the right track? Does someone know ore have some information?

The biggest / most easily noticed difference is, for me anyway, the height & shape of the serif on the bottom of the "1". It is very short on Die I and much taller on Die II. Ryan
