I spent this afternoon playing around with page layouts for my 'Round the World' collection (which I think I will end up calling the 'Grand Tour' ) Did a title page for French Polynesia, and as I only have eight stamps from there, a single album page. It took me quite a while but I wanted something that made me happy, so I can replicate them as I build out the rest of Oceania. My collection is pretty sparse for this region outside of Australia and New Zealand, and a few pages of Fiji and Papua New Guinea. I like the full looking page, but won't hesitate to rearrange it if / when I acquire some longer sets.

I have not been to make any album pages since my last post in this thread way too many months ago. With me on medical leave until mid-January and my ability to sit in chairs for extended periods growing each day, I hope to remedy that situation.
Not exactly sure though what I will work on next. I have 4 good options
1) work on later years of Singapore to mount the years I have in stock books since I finished my first volumes ending in 1990 when I remounted my Dad's collection.
2) work on later years of Malaysia to mount the years I have in stock books since I finished my first volumes ending in 1990 when I remounted my Dad's collection.
3) Work on a stock book of Turkey 1962-2020 that I have built up the last few years after buying a couple collections and year sets. I have no Turkey volumes made and would need to decide if I want to start with Ottoman Empire (which will likely be a couple volumes on their own) or start with the Republic issues in 1920 with Turkey in Asia.
4) Finish up Canada and make pages for Canada Provinces, as I have some Newfoundland from my Dad's dealer stock still in his dealer book I need to mount.
Decisions Decisions!

For the first time in a while I did some work on my hoard collection. Have been going through some of my past box lot purchases and decided to start a Postal Stationery Album with customs pages. I used Album Easy to create the pages.

I always struggle with pages where I have to turn what I'm wanting to display sideways... ahould I make the entire page landscape or do as you have done.
Nice write ups!

Nice pages PostmasterGS and no doubt, you should be pleased with your efforts :-) You mentioned using 'pockets' for some of your covers, do you have any further details as I like the idea for larger items including large blocks of postage stamps. There is reference to these 'clear bags' on the APS website as an alternative to clear mounts - A New Option for Clear Stamp Mounts. Are you using something similar? Do you have a product name or vendor?
Whilst the clear mounts do not give the same visual impact as the Scott/Prinz mounts, perhaps adding a black or dark piece of paper first on the page and then the cover in its clear mount would give the visual effect you are looking for.
Just a thought...
Have fun and happy collecting!

Didn't see your response initially. The pockets are Smead self-adhesive poly pockets. This size is good for postcards and smaller covers, while this size is good for larger items. They're acid free and PVC free. I've never used them for stamps, so can't speak to whether it's a good idea to place gummed items in them, but they work great for postcards and small covers.

I'm working on creating pages for Sweden. I collect specialised (following Facit) up to 1920. As usual, I'm using A4 duplex. Below are two pages shown side by side On the pages, I switch between including information on the left side or not (back of previous page), depending if there is a story to be told (or catalog information needed to be available when working with the stamps). Some examples:

Very nice presentation classicalstamps. As a worldwide collector who simply puts my stamps in Vario stock sheets - albeit nicely and not too crowded, I am always impressed by those who can focus on quality rather than quantity. I'd like to see some pictures of the pages with inserted stamps.

Wow! What lovely pages. You go much deeper into Facit than I do; as your pages fill, the pages will pop even more.
I really like the page borders with the name and flag on the border line. I'll have to resist 'borrowing' that idea for my pages, since I've already printed out so many.

I initially made this page without the IPE Ceres 10F pieces because... I misplaced them. Having once again been found I decifded to make the adjustments to the page and get them mounted so such a mishap doesn't occur a second time. I don't have a good expanation for how I managed to place both of this in with stamps of Lundy, but that's where they showed up! 1949 International Exposition- done at last!

My Sweden album is reaching completion (in 1920). King Oscar II deserved a "left-side-explanatory-page":

A few more:
Please do not take this as a criticism it is a handsome page , but I have to confess I find this page puzzling and a bit overwhelming. What size is it.? How many elements of the 9 are real stamps or covers? what items are actual size?

The pages are 10"x11.5" ('B4' I think) for a Scott Specialty binder. The images are to illustrate usage examples - I never owned these covers (could never afford most of them). Many are from Siegel sales (they graciously gave permission for non-commercial use). I did own a moderate collection of the US classics and some additional material like penny black and red and "bull's eye", etc, but no more. The album itself has been passed on to my daughter, but I am still working on 20th century pages. I wished someone to be able to enjoy the images and stories even if they never could afford to own examples. The stamps, when in my possession, were mounted with no-hinge clear mounts.

I would be interested in opinions - is the story well told and illustrated? Complete in its essentials? I will post a few more of the introductory pages and hope it doesn't seem as if I'm cluttering the thread.

The above pages were created using CorelDraw software (including the page border) and images were edited using Corel Photo-Paint. The finalized pages were exported to PDF format for printing. All text is original except for quotes.
