Just before CHICAGOPEX, on Thursday Nov. 21, the American Philatelic Society will offer a one-day On-the-Road course on U.S. Proofs and Essays taught by expert James E. Lee. The course is $45 for APS members and $95 for non-members. To learn more about the course and enroll, please visit this APS web page.
We welcome five convening societies this year: Polonus Polish Philatelic Society, the Rossica Society of Russian Philately, the Lithuania Philatelic Society, the Ukrainian Philatelic and Numismatic Society and the India Study Circle. We will host a Philatelic Exhibition, a Philatelic Literature Exhibition, and a Dealer Bourse. The CHICAGOPEX Awards Banquet will be at the show hotel on Saturday evening, Nov. 23; advance reservations are required. Information on all Chicagopex 2019 functions, including the banquet, scheduled meetings, participating postal administrations, and exhibits prospectus and application will be available on our web site- www.chicagopex.org
Our Philatelic Exhibition is one of the largest and most prestigious in the country. Completed application, frame fee, title page and synopsis must reach the Philatelic Exhibits Committee by Sept. 7. We expect to be oversubscribed again this year, and will accept exhibits partially on the basis of application date and completeness; early application is encouraged.
