I am a 70 yo lifetime (since cub scouts) collector living on Long Island in New York. I collect worldwide through 1968 and have specialties in colonial Africa and Nazi Germany. I am always seeking more details on my collection as some of my trading partners call me technical. I use Scott International albums liberally expanded for perforations, shades and other types as well as Scott specialty albums for my Africa. I have a sizable accumulation of duplicates and are always interested in trades of want lists. I look forwarded to getting involved in discussions on this site.

Greetings rjan55 and welcome to TSF.the best stamp forum around!! (absolutely no bias). I too got a badge in the scouts for collecting stamps! I believe you will find others here with a similar focus- I myself am currently focused on early France, Great Britain, and Belgium with emphasis on shades, states, and plates (not necessarily in that order). So as a "returnee'' to the hobby after multiple starts and stops (started at 9, now about to turn 67).....welcome from Northern California!

from the north shore of Lake Ontario. You are in a great forum for philately. Most any questions are answered & there are a lot of give aways too. Be nice to see your Nazi collection. I just recently took up Germany, but I go to around 1990 with them.

Welcome to the forum. I started collecting Germany this year. I have only been working on Germany stamps up to 1945, but I have some up to 1990. I bought wayyy too many collection this year, so I am trying to finish my used book and mint book up to 1945. I have the majority of the Nazi stamps, but I am still missing a few. Glad to see another Germany collector. I have been collecting since I was 8, I do hold the stamp collecting merit badge also.
