Germany, Post-WWII Soviet Zone Spremberg Local Issues, 1946I received these from a friend of mine in trade, but I don't much about them. I know that they are not listed in Scott, but they are listed in Michel and some of them can also be found on Colnect and Stamp World. I have indicated the Michel numbers provided by my trading partner, but I do not have a Michel catalogue to confirm. If anyone has more information about these, please feel free to post it. I had never seen these before, and could not find any previous posts on TSF, so I decided to post them here just to give them some exposure. Mi DE-SPR 17B-18B Mi DE-SPR 19B-22B

The first two are listed in my copy of Michel, but stops there and my German is not good enough to be of more help.

They are indeed in Michel Deustchland-Spezial Band 1. The IDs appear to be correct, although the 4 stamps in the 2nd pic would be ordered: 21B, 19B, 22B, 20B
The stamps exist imperforate and perforate (A suffix instead of B)
17B-18B (25Feb1946) 19B-20B (Apr1946) 21B-22B (Apr1946)
Michel lists quite a few printing flaws. I only did a cursory glance and didn't notice any of them on your stamps.

What I collect: Cinderellas and some Ephemera from Great Britain, France and Israel plus a few beautiful bits from elsewhere !! Topical interests include Flags & Judaica, the latter with an emphasis on the Jewish National Fund.

I have these in my Cinderella Locals Album. They are without the 'reconstruction' surcharge. Any good for your thread ? Note the incorrect spelling 'a' for 'e' on the 4 stamps in the 4th row. Londonbus1 PS. If no good for the thread, I will put elsewhere. They are already in the Cinderella section (I think)

Londonbus1 , those are official local issues and were valid for postage (Michel even gives prices for covers). You have a mix of 1-6(3Dec1945) and 7-14(3Jan1946), perforate and imperforate varieties. The "Gabühr" settings that you have correspond to 7I, 9I, 10I, and 13I, and have a modest premium. I didn't really check for plate flaws, for which there are quite a few listed. I do see at least 3 damaged "G" among your stamps, although I'm not sure if Michel lists the specific flaws that you have.

Valid for postage they may have been, but in the eyes of a die-hard Cinderella collector they are still a........Cinderella !! I don't collect locals really but they often come together with other items or in collections. So I save those I like only. But most Cinderella collectors include locals in their lot as they were/are not available to all.
The stamps here are not listed in Scott or Gibbons, nor are any Local stamps as far as I am aware (at least not without special reason)
