The 1000 Islands Local Post was based in Ontario, Canada, and provided a carrier service among several of the 1000 Islands to post offices in New York and Ontario. It was useful to residents of the islands in that they could avoid the international mailing fees for sending mail between New York and Canada and vice versa, since the service delivered to post offices on both sides of the border.
Following is a Local Post label on cover.

The B trading Co. was owned by my friend Carl Bielenski my original stamp dealer with a brick and mortar store front on Quail St in Albany. This was back in the day before Ebay and other online sales. That's great to know - thanks for the info. My research showed G.H. McIntyre, Ltd., is (or was) a dealer in gold and silver. Now I wish I knew what was in the envelope!!
As an aside, I found out that G.H. McIntyre, Ltd., is a Canadian company located in Kingston. Apparently, the company used the local post to ship items to the U.S., which allowed the use of insured mail at U.S. postal rates. Note that the Canadian address is crossed out and an American address is on the envelope. I am guessing this may have been the address of the 1000 Islands local post.
