What I collect: Euro pre-1920, Asia to 1945, Ship Mail 1800's

Hello, Ex. Western Canada native now in France suburb north of Paris after long work assignment - the food & wine got me hooked. Long time collector although more involvement in postal history/research these days and not so much "collecting". Main areas of interest Euro pre-1920 including Russia, Some CA/SA like Brazil, Asia to 1945 (mainly Japan & Korea), Ship Mail 1800's (I like old steamers & sailing ships) and research into fakes/forgeries - keeps one sharp when collecting "classics" Back soon LM
BTW the avatar is an old stamp market scene still functioning in Paris

What I collect: My focus is on Wild Mammals on maximum cards. Occasionally, I get or create maximum cards with other animals, or any other topic.

Welcome! Do you have, or can you create ship mail maxicards (maximum cards)? Covers/envelopes are also a unique type of ship/paquebot mail. Personalized uniquely by being mailed to you or somebody else, from aboard a moving ship, on the next stop. They may even have autograph from the ship captain, etc.
Meanwhile, millions of collectors may own, together, millions of copies of any given stamp. Then they try to differentiate: by errors, by gum status, by perforations...
