What I collect: Trying to focus just on Hong Kong. Wish me luck.

I recently purchased a downloadable, self print file of album pages (for Hong Kong) from stampsbooks.com for about $20.00. Is this a normal price to pay for downloadable album files?
I now need to purchase China and I feel like this will be a crazy undertaking since they had so many provinces and what not. I won't even know which pages I should print.
Are there good sites for purchasing electronic files of album pages? Is there a better way to do this?

Since you already have 2 threads going, why don't you put everythig (all your questions) in a file that would finish by 101 - take one and change the title to reflect you will have lots of 101 questions - you will have responses in 1 thread only - just my 2 cents !!

I prefer that posts on different topics remain in different threads so those who subsequently search for that information don't have to wade through numerous unrelated posts in order to find what they seek.

Does anyone know how the Steiner PDF files for Republic of China and People's Republic of China are named? I've tried different combinations of the words with under bars between, and nothing seems to work.

...So my sudden idea was not that good after all - OK Admin The suggestion might have worked well for Kristy in having all of her questions answered in one location; however, for those who subsequently join our Forum, it is not optimal for finding answers to questions they might have. For example, a thread titled "Best Sites/Sources for Album Pages?" provides a more succinct description of thread content than does "My Stamp Collecting 101 Questions."

oregon1234 The Steiner pages that you'll see referenced in many areas of the Forum are available here at a cost of between $50 and $75. For that cost you get worldwide coverage and can print individual countries and/or pages as needed. If you search the Forum for "Steiner" you'll get a better sense of their utility. If you're a bit more adventurous, you can create your own pages using the free program named AlbumEasy that was created by one of our members. You can see his post on the program here. We've also got a fairly sizeable amount of material members have posted regarding their DIY efforts.

I have been looking for stamp albums to store my collections, but up to now I have not got any information on how to get them. I also have thought to try to make one myself, but have not succeeded in doing so.

(china_prc2008.pdf is one of many) I just searched the disk for just china. It gave a list of china_roc , china_prc , china_japanese_occupation, etc.

I also have thought to try to make one myself, but have not succeeded in doing so. I realize this is a older post, but I thought I would love to help. Easy thing to do, places like whitman whitman.com/, www.wizardcoinsupply.com, www.ihobb.com/ all have albums that you can order, sometimes for a pretty price. I myself have the Harris Liberty albums, about 15 to 25 usd a pop, now on the World area, I am going to use heavy duty Avery D-ring notebooks. mainly because I know they are great 3 ring binders. Now if you are going with just the 2 hole pages, then head to a local hobby shop, and into the photo /painting section, you can get some that will work for you...

As a follow up on this question, I've found you can make your own pages with the help of the Scott Catalogs, and there are so many web based programs out there that allow you to easily format a page however you like. This is sort of great in that you can sort stamps the way you like and customize the pages for your collection. There is also this free program developed by another stamp enthusiast called Album Easy: www.thestampweb.com/albumeasyWhile I'm glad I have the Hong Kong pages to start, I definitely would never pay $50/country again for pages. With the overwhelming size of my collection I have to find less expensive ways of organizing everything, for sure!
