Anyone know what this undated marking represents, who used it and for how long? Thanks

Do you have the rest of the cancel with date?
My best guess was that it was used in 1982 during Canada 82 International Youth Exhibition, which was held in Toronto from May 20-24, 1982. Captain Cook pair issued April 26, 1978 (Unitrade #763-764)

Could also be related to CAPEX '78 international exhibition that was held in Toronto in June 1978.

I got curious about this cancellation so I tried to find out something about it online and I didn't get very far! All I was able to find were these two lots from eBay sellers. The first one has a 1977 Canada first day cover which has had another pair of stamps added to the cover, one from the USA and the other a duplicate copy of the FDC issue, both cancelled with a single strike of this cancel. And the second lot is real strange, four Commonwealth issues from the 1953 QEII Coronation omnibus issue, with 1977 Canada QEII Silver Jubilee high-value commemoratives added to them and cancelled with this Exhibition Services postmark. Those were nice FDC's. It would seem to my mind that someone wanted special souvenirs of these covers, added the Canadian & American stamps, took them to a show where Canada Post had a display & added the rubber stamp to the added stamps. IIRC, that stamp could be applied by the user at shows, so it could be put on anything.
In my opinion, he/she just wrecked the original FDC's!

Despite contacting the Vincent Graves Greene Foundation who did some research, the author of The New Specialized Catalogue of Canada Post Official First Day Covers, Andrew Chung, and other knowledgeable members of the British North America Philatelic Society Frist Day Cover Study Group and Canadian dealers, no information on this marking has come to light. Only speculations and guesses at best have been given, some totally incorrect based on my own limited knowledge. This marking has been seen between 1977 and 1978 and used to cancel Canadian First Day Covers that were never given an official first day postmark. No doubt at an exhibition, but no proof of which exhibition as nothing on the front or back provides evidence.

That Canadian CPA “postmark” has an unpleasant aroma to me
