Kenya, Uganda & Tanganyika, 1921Sc 1, 1-cent black definitive stamp, watermarked Multiple Crown & Script CA, depicting Great Britain's King George V. Note: Interestingly, this same design and colour of stamp, if watermarked Multiple Crown & CA, would be East Africa & Uganda, Sc 40. But with the later watermark, it is considered by Scott as KUT #1, despite the fact that the inscription Kenya, Uganda & Tanganyika does not even appear on this stamp.

edit: as I was working out of an old Scott Junior Album where my late dad had his Samoa stamps, I simply put the info from that catalog without doing research. This morning, April 7, going into my Scott Specialized 2019 I copied the info on Samoa:  I shall not go into "forgeries" (my stamp is probably one) as I do not have any expertise in this area - René  |

Oh dear renden, Rene I have to correct you on the Samoa … Information above incorrect on several counts That is a Forgery and Samoa is not a US possession. Only a small part of the group is US Samoa and they never had any stamps other than regular US. The bit that used to be Western Samoa was German, then New Zealand administered for the League of Nations and UN ( never a British dominion) and is now FEROCIOUSLY INDEPENT again. This is No 1 1877  and this is No1 of German Samoa 1900 but it's not really that big!!!  |
