Hi everyone, my real name is Ludovico, Im living in the north of Italy and precisely in Piemonte. I have bee in love with stamps since childhood but I started collecting seriusly in the last ten years. I collect mostly classic stamps from every country, not essentilly for they economic value but for the history that they bring. Very often I get more relaxed with cheap stamps than expensive. Anyway I like stamps from every where in the world. Sorry for my english, but after 12 years back in Italy from UK is getting a little rusty. Thank you all

Welcome. I completely agree with you about cheap stamps. It isn't about the value it's about the enjoyment. I still like to have a valuable stamp here and there though...LOL.

Welcome to TSF, Ludovico ( rex)! Piemonte? The home of two of my favourite things in life: Barolo and Roero Arneis! Yes, when I am not collecting classic stamps like you, I am enjoying nice wines from all over the world, and those from Piemonte are up near the top my list. Sometimes I enjoy wine and stamps at the same time, but very carefully! I am a US expat living in the UK (Oxford) and really enjoying life here. Where in the UK did you live when you were here? In any case, see you around the Forum! Saluti, Ludovico! -Chris ( Beryllium Guy)

hi Chris ,..like many foreigners I lived (for about 25 years) in London, than my wife company had their branches closed down all over europe, so we decide to come back to Italy avoiding to my wife to loose her job, ..UK is the country where I grow up to became a man, who welcomed me. Im very gratefull to the old Britannia. Oxford is a nice cultural city with her university, much less stressful than London with good quality of life. Roero Arneis is a white wine if Im not wrong..? Unfortunatly 2 years ago I had a cardiac arrest, so I stopped wine, coffe, and pipe smoking, but I don't miss them .... I have philately . Thanks again all for the warm welcome.

Ludovico, I apologize for my belated welcome -- didn't have time to make a post but was able to adjust your membership status. Regarding tobben63's comment, he was referring to the placement of your reply in the quote, rather than outside of it. After I complete this post, I'll make the required correction.
