A 1919 Montserrat registered cover picked up a couple years ago. I like the corner blocks used on cover, this one has a socked-on-the-nose cancel, and was redirected a couple of times. OHMS to boot; this addressee received other similar covers from British colonies in the Caribbean area. I paid about what my lunch cost me today (first time I did "take-away" in weeks!). I'll try posting more in. the near future. Unlike most stamp collectors these days, I have had **less** time to devote to the hobby in recent weeks....

jimwentzell - That Montserrat cover is a marvelous piece of postal history, congratulations. So cool to see these stamps actually did their job, in particular from tiny colonies like Montserrat. I would exchange that for my lunch any day

Aden forerunner on cover. Queen Victoria stamp of India used in British Post office in Aden. Sent on May 23rd 1889 - arrival mark Navsari (India) 3rd June 1889. The cover is beaten up and not a showpiece at all. Which is ok for me, this stamp and cover did its job, so an authentic piece of a postal history. Thanks for starting this thread jimwentzell - Good idea to let the old "dirty" covers come back into the light
