Hello to all members. Thank you very much for accepting me to TSF.
My name is Joan, from Barcelona, Catalonia (SW Europe). I collect used stamps from a lot of European countries (Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Scandinavia, UK...) and also postal history from Estonia (1990/92) and from my home-town, Barcelona, where I've lived for most of my 61 years and special postmarks of the same city. So far, I've cataloged around 1500 from 1888 to date.
But what actually thrills me are cinderellas. I'm not by any means and expert on them, but I like to pick cinderellas, find about them and (sometimes) write a little on that subject. I try to concentrate on Catalan cinderellas. I'm an active member of a number of forums and enjoy them very much. I'm sure that here will too. These days, being already locked down for six weeks due to covid-19 and with another 3-4 ahead, I've plenty of time for our hobby. Not everything had to be bad!
So far, I've seen some very interesting threads and I look forward to explore them and, (who knows') perhaps I will be able to contribute a little to the great deal of knowledge treasure here.

Welcome to TSF, Joan ( cursus)! I have visited Barcelona many times over the years, and I think it is a great city. I had the good fortune to go to the outdoor stamp market there on two of those occasions, and I loved that, too. Cinderellas from Catalonia are cool. Here is one of my personal favorites, already posted elsewhere on TSF: Anyway, welcome to the Forum, and I hope to see some posts of your material! Best Wishes, Chris ( Beryllium Guy)

A double welcome for my friend from Barcelona. cursus........I am happy you have joined us, hope you will like it here. Joan started what is probably the longest online Cinderella thread about Barcelona & Catalonia in 2011 and it is now 61 pages long !! (SCF). I have known Joan for many years online but we first met in 2018 on the same trip I met Beryllium Guy for the first time. Now we are in one forum......... Happy Collecting, Londonbus1

Thank you very much for your warm welcome. It's true what Mike (Londonbus) wrote about our long lasting Barcelona and Catalonia cinderellas thread on SCF. But, he forgot to write that I started it, nearly 9 years ago, following a suggestion of him and some other friends (James, Rod, to name a few). So, to them, should the crèdit go. Anyway, what pleases me the most are, not just the 61 pages (just a question of being somewhat constant), but the 165.000 readings. Not so bad, for cinderellas from a tiny 7.5 mio country on a corner of Europe... I would like to have a look at this splendid fòrum and later, once I've understood how to upload images, perhaps I can make a little contribution to the community. Chris, your Tortosa cinderella is very beautiful. It was issued during the 1936-39 war on the town of Tortosa, the capital of river Ebre Catalan lands, 180 km SW from Barcelona. Jerry: a brother of mine, lived around 1993 in Marietta, Ga. I visited him in June of that year. You've got a very nice city and State!

Well, actualy, I don't have any problems at SCF. I find that is a very friendly site, as TSF looks. I intend to keep on posting there as I will start posting something here. I'm not quiting anyplace, but just enlarging, somewhat, my stamp/cinderellas knowedge. And yes Renden, I seem to remember you from SCF. But, not too much.

Thank you. When trying to reply on a topic, I see the message: "you are nor allowed to reply to this topic". I tried once or twice, like on the flag's cinderellas topic.

Only when the Moderator gives you the OK can you post - in the above post it seems he did but in a different more concise way - not the way he greets new members ?? You might try again (and be logged in....important) René

As I stated in your welcome email, "Once you’ve made your introduction, your membership status will be manually adjusted to allow you to post in most other areas of the Forum."
Once I saw you had posted your intro, I made the adjustment and you are now able to post in most other areas.
