Hello, I'd like to know the name of these kind of... stamp displays? I see this person has it in their living or something... and I think it's a GREAT idea to take some of my stamps out of my stamp room. I'm not planning to put any valuable stamp there... but some of those stamps that I don't really collect, and are there doing nothing, but that are a joy to see. Looking at those beautiful mid-20 century Hungary and Czechoslovakia stamps! It must be a great conversation topic for our house... and something my wife would approve if I choose the stamps correctly Not that we get many visitors during this quarantine but still.

I don’t know if they have a name but it is the sort of Display Stand that many professional dealers will have in their stall at a stamp show. One of the tools of the trade.

A search term like "catalogue display rack" might get you started. When I tried that on Amazon, I was able to find this: Ryan

Hi Will They are called Tarifolds. Personally I would not use it for home use. It takes a lot of space and relatively expensive, pages and metal spines which hold the pages. There was one in the store for expensive items, but everything else was in binders. Much better would be a binder and Vario stock pages. Personally I use #2 glassine envelopes. The #2 accommodates the majority of stamps and have the advantage of fitting perfectly in a business card file such as: Card File Mine are half the size and stack nicely. I have one stockbook for big items but most items are in the #2. I have used glassines for 30+ years and nothing has been damaged. One source for envelopes

Hi Jerry B, I don’t think Will wants it for storage of his collections. He was attracted to the idea of a conversation piece in his living room , just to showcase attractive stamps. I suspect he is already familiar with Vario, stock books, albums, glassine s and card file systems , but none of these are much use for a casual visitor to the house to note and be attracted to .

Hi vikingeck
I re-read Will's post and somehow missed the purpose of the tarifold. After re-reading you are right.

That's exactly what I was looking for! And, Ryan, what a beautiful piece! I'll take a look.
Thanks a bunch, folks!
