I captured an image of the "scratch on small 2 variety. Just started collecting Machins, I can't see the scratch, should I be looking on the upper or lower part of the 2?

I captured an image of the "scratch on small 2 variety. Just started collecting Machins, I can't see the scratch, should I be looking on the upper or lower part of the 2? The scratch is in the base of the small 2, showing as the magenta "bits" on your scan. The (TYPE I) stamp (thin value & P) can be found with this listed flaw, although it does not exist on U94 & U90 stamps which are from the Wedgwood booklet panes.

I think I might be lucky. A letter arrived today with some Machins on the cover. Included was this 2 1/2p. I took a picture but it's not great quality. Under x90 eye glass the dark marks on the small 2 are magenta.
