My local stamp store is closed because of the pandemic. But since the owner has a brisk eBay and TCGtrader.com business, he’s been going in every day to fill orders and mail them.
I sent him an email asking if he could sell me some stamps and mounts.
So, right now, I place my order. He emails me when it’s ready. I pay him via PayPal. I drive to the store, call him and let him know I am outside. He puts the bag outside the door and I come and grab it.
He recently bought a US collection that was mint hinged, and he’s been selling me what I need from that collection for very good prices, because no one wants to buy mint hinged stamps. Since my stamps go in a mount, I really don’t care if they’re hinged or not. He even took the time to place each definitive in it’s own little glassine with the Scott number on the front, so I don’t have to go measuring die-cuts and looking for microprints to figure out which version I have.
It also seems I have been gone far too long from this forum. Sigh....
