What I collect: Cinderellas and some Ephemera from Great Britain, France and Israel plus a few beautiful bits from elsewhere !! Topical interests include Flags & Judaica, the latter with an emphasis on the Jewish National Fund.

I have just received the latest Newsletter for 'London 2022' and there was confirmation that the Autumn Stampex event, usually held at the same venue as the big International Exhibitions, has been cancelled.
This will be the first time Stampex has not been held at all for many years. I have to check but it could be the first time it hasn't taken place since the Mid-60's !!

Coronavirus has a lot to answer for !!

I wonder if it's still a bit early for cancelling events in September ? Probably not.

We've had philatelic events (albeit smaller in scope) cancelled through October here.

Interestingly the most recent one was CANPEX which was to have been held in London ... Ontario, Canada. Some smaller shows are still on the books, but group gatherings are still banned where I live so I'm not counting on any shows for the rest of the year.

Collecting used/mint Botswana, Germany, Ireland, Scandinavia (need most from Aland, Iceland & Finland), Tonga (1960s/70s) and Austria. Topicals of Owls, Holograms and books on stamps. Latin/South America issues from the American Bank Note Co. I also enjoy a fun gimmicky stamp, like the ones made from fabric for example.
