I couldn't find a topic for these so here you can post your TIMEPIECES !! One of my favourites is the 2004 Clocktowers issue from Israel which was issued in both sheetlets of 10 (values NIS1.30) and in Prestige Booklets where the values were different. The unique layout of the booklet was a first in Philately and one of the few items of Postage stamps I retained when the collection was disposed of. Designed by Zina & Zvika Roitman. The issue coincided with the opening of the Multinational Stamp Exhibition in Tel Aviv.

Very nice Swiss selection cursus !! Here's a little group of non postage stamps but they fit well nonetheless ! The National Watch Company started making watches in Elgin, Illinois in 1866. In 1874 they became the Elgin National Watch Company. For over 90 years they were the world's biggest Watch-making factory. The Elgin Philatelic Society used timepieces on their Exhibition Souvenir sheets in 1937. Similar designs for other years also exist.

Gràcia's belfry, on the main square of this old Barcelona's (Catalonia) town, is a "civil one" (not attached to any church). In a tower built by Antoni Rovira i Trias in 1864, the clock itself is the work of the Swiss clockmaker Albert Bitlleter, who worked for some years in our country.

The Modernist Hospital de Sant Pau (Barcelona, Catalonia) built by Lluis Domènceh i Mountaner in 1910, has a belfry with a clock at the top of the Administrative Building. It's part pf my urban landscape as I lived for many years in front of it. Now, it's just a 10 minutes walk from home. A UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Trust the Swiss to have so many stamps with clocks/watches. There seem to be quite a few Indian stamps with clock towers but I don't think we have any that shows an actual watch or time. Or maybe there is, dunno....

Perhaps, the best known clock tower of the whole world is that of the British Parliament Houses, known as "Big Ben" (as far as I know, this is actually the name of the largest bell on the tower).

cursus - you are quite right that the largest bell in the clock tower is the actual "Big Ben" - the tower itself is actually called the Elizabeth Tower (since 2012's jubilee year). It was originally just called the "Clock Tower" - how imaginative!!! Nice stamps!

On this 1923 Pro-joventute stamp, showing the arms of the Neucatel canton, there can also be seen six watches (actually, pocket watches) for which this Swiss federal state is famous.
