I've picked the name "Curiosity Covers" as I am curious to see what happens to covers I send to made-up addresses.
To Little London, Westmorland, Jamaica on May 26 2020. Returned to me with typical USPS "NIXIE" label stating
RETURN TO SENDER REFUSED UNABLE TO FORWARD.
But the neat aspect was an additional yellow USPS label on the reverse side stating
MAIL SERVICE SUSPENDED RETURN TO SENDER TO REQUEST A POSTAGE REFUND GO TO ANY USPS RETAIL OFFICE
and additional text for handling registered letters.
I mailed numerous such letters back when the Scenic Landscapes series was in vogue with the 80c value. Today one of my favorite collections. Time to renew my interest.
(And please, no lectures. )

I've thought of doing that as well, but haven't so far. With all the stamps I have now, maybe I'll do that too!
Another one I want to try is short change the stamps to receive them postage due. I'd like to see how that is handled these days.

Is it handled the same way now in 2020? How do other countries handle missing postage or under payment? All these questions and more...
Happy collecting!

I'd like to see how that is handled these days. If you decide to give it a try I suggest using a single current stamp to improve chances for clear postmark. Also stay away from poste restante / general delivery addresses. These are usually giveaways to philatelic shenanigans! Google maps can often give detailed street names and address ranges
