I see the article began with a misleading image of a NY postmaster provisional while discussing the US issue of 1847.

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

In August of 1918, Benjamin Lipsner, the first Superintendent of the Post Office Department for airmail operations came up with the idea for an airplane service logo. One day, he was walking around and found a discarded package of Mail Pouch Tobacco. From the picture of the mail pouch wrapper, Lipsner had an artist paint a replica of the pouch on the aircraft with the inscription, U.S. Mail.  |

If a player is hung up because he drew a bad weather or mechanical problem card in Washington DC, there are ways to slow other players down who have already reached Chicago or St. Louis. |
