My name is Kathy Martinelli-Zaun. I have collected stamps for decades, started stamp clubs with students in my firmer life as a middle school teacher, designed stamps for contests and just really like stamps. I recently ran across my fathers union stamps from his years with The Pennsylvania Railroad. I didn’t realize it was a collecting thing. I’m curious about them and thought someone here might have information about this type of stamp.
On a personal note I have traveled in a van around the country seeing all of the states over the last 22 years and recently bought a home in The Villages of Florida. As I said I’m a retired teacher; I was an International Faculty member for Challenger Center, and have volunteered at several National Parks and wildlife refuges.
Thank you kindly for accepting me in your forum. I look forward to exploring it.
May you all have a blessed Thanksgiving in these strange times.
Kathy

The Surname Martinelli should derive from a modification of the Latin cognomen Martinus (which means "dedicated to Mars"). The surname Martinelli is widespread throughout peninsular Italy with greater concentration in Lombardy, Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna.

Welcome, Kathy! Wow...not our average philatelist!
Maxicards. You could design personalized postcards, from your photos, and then affix concordant stamps on the picture side. Get relevant postmarks on those stamps, and your maxicards should be more satisfying than scrapbooking your memories of life travels.
