Cuba Scott 232 Inverted Overprint - real or fake?

Scott says counterfeits are plentiful. I haven't found anything on the interwebs yet that describes how to tell. The cancel appears to be over the overprint. However, the space between the T and U in Octubre is suspect.

Can anyone shed light?
