I began collecting in approximately 1953, but yet I am a newbie; my collection lay fallow for over 60 years until I started going through it again last December. That timing was great since it gave me a new interest during a time of social distancing. I had previously spent decades collecting, dealing, and writing about old tobacco and trade cards and I have lots of unfinished projects in that area. It has been liberating to pick up something different.
My primary collection is Worldwide up to 1960 with most interest in the earlier years. I have also been fooling around with a date-oriented postmark collection and it was such a thread that drew me to this forum.
I live in Ashburn, VA - the closest well-known landmark is Dulles Airport.
