Rene There are many, many donuts associated with Canadian stamps...I have found over 100 at least. Unitrade will not recognize donuts... That is why you will never see them in Catalouges.
Here is my Scott 657 Diver stamp.

Thanks Robert and I did see donuts on other stamps and they were not specific varieties - just happened to find another one on this 607 stamp and yes, Jon blaamand, I do some flyspecking on occasion when I have time - reviewing a bunch of Canada stamps right now for TAGGED/Untagged etc. and trying to understand Unitrade fully (which will never happen re: paper fluorescence F LF HB etc....makes my head spin LOL !) For me it is Tagged or Untagged !!!!

Robert WERT - hope you had a good Anniversary !! Looking at my Medium-Value Tree definitives Unitrade 717-721 (1977-82) I found a 718 with what appears to the eye a "yellowish" multicolour Scan upper=N Scan lower=yellowish (not described in catalog) - both at 600 dpi

Hi Rene..BTW.. Had a great anniversary get together...Thanks
Rene i took a colour reading of both stamps and GREEN was exactly the same.
When i took printing in high school, as we did not finish off a run..We would clean up and apply ink colour the next day to finish the run. It was almost impossible to match the exact colour from the previous day....Just saying.

Thanks Robert WERT - the blue might give it a different shade (to the eye) - Since I had 20 stamps to compare, that one was different and will keep it (for my curiosity only) - René

Here are a few of them...and the colours they appear on.
Just for collectors to see how common donuts are. Robert

Thanks Robert WERT for the multiple donuts "show" - you really are persistent !! As for the Unitrade/Scott 620, that explains why this is not a recognized variety !!! René

Here is something a collector might classify as a variety..But is a slip print.
Also known as slurred prints, slip prints are often confused with re-entries However,
they are not constant plate varieties, but printing varieties.
Here is an example on one of my Scott 741... Robert

Here are a few of my Scott 650 stamps - One is recognized as Scott 650ii "RED TEAR IN BLUE SKIRT" And a few more of mine that are NOT recognized in Catalouges.
If anyone else finds one - Please post and we can assign it as a "constant variety".

I am posting here to see if anyone can explain this possible or possible variety. I have gone on other sites and no one had a good idea what causes this.
I was told to send it to a major catalouge company..But did not want to. Below is one of my Scott 1896 "Figure figure skating" stamp. The words are printed in RED..But smeared as it is printed over skaters leg and no other place. See pictures below...

Here is my last post on Canadian varieties...Scott 735 "cougar stamps" This is not a constant plate variety, but a variety for sure.
There was a hair that attached to the plate which caused a "hair" on plate variety. It would be removed by a doctor [ductor] blade and normal printing continued.

With Peter's ( brightonpete) showing of his Canadian High-Value National Parks definitives here, along with an ode to WERT (gone, but not forgotten) this series has a number of constant plate varieties for even the budget-minded collector as seen in this example, This constant variety is from plate position n.º 12 and shows a small “pink dot” in the water next to the trees at left.
Happy collecting!

I was thinking the lettering would have been in green fluorescent phosphor. Thanks, Robert! I tried to take a shot at the writing. You can see it pretty good, but like you, it took me a while to see it.
